Elopement

Nothing Fancy, Just Love!

Elopement ceremonies are becoming increasingly popular with couples who want a fun and romantic adventure together.  Many couples are attracted to Ireland because of its natural beauty, the heritage and culture, the craic agus ceoil, and there really is something for everyone here.  As long as you do not mind a bit of rain, you are sure to find the perfect location for an amazing and magical elopement ceremony.

Our wedding celebrants enjoy working with couples from all over the world, and are in the perfect position to recommend locations and venues, photographers and other vendors to couples.  Our celebrants can advise on ways to incorporate Irish traditions into the ceremony in a way that is respectful and meaningful.

The Covid 19 pandemic has changed the wedding industry and couples priorities.  We expect to see an increase in micro-weddings and elopement ceremonies as a result.

Our Ethical Ceremonies

If you are interested in our Elopement Ceremonies, visit our Celebrants page and contact a celebrant that you would like to perform this celebration with. From Naming Day Ceremonies, to Destination Wedding Ceremonies, we have a celebrant member for everyone.

Please note IECS Celebrants do not have solemnising status in relation to marriages.  This is a choice we have made in line with other EU countries as we do not wish to be affiliated exclusively with religious or secular groups. This leaves us open to provide a truly unique service. You can find all of the information here on the HSE requirements to make your marriage legal in Ireland.
